Introduction

If you've already created an activity for a class and want to give the same activity to another class, you can accomplish this by utilizing GradeChum's Reuse Activity feature.

In this article, we will go into detail on how to reuse an activity or a set in GradeChum.

Steps

To reuse an activity on a class in GradeChum, there are two possible ways to do so:

a. Reuse an individual activity

1. On the class where you want to give the same activity, under the Activities tab, click the + Create Activity > Reuse old activity. This will open a sidebar modal.

   

2. Select an existing individual activity you wish to reuse. You may also select a specific activity inside a set to reuse if you wish.

   

3. Click the Select button to proceed. This will open the Create Activity page, but with all the information pre-filled from the activity you reused.

   

4. Edit any part of the activity that you wish, such as name, items, or answer sheet layout. Do not worry, this will not affect the original activity that you're reusing it from as this is an independent activity that only copied the contents.

   

5. Once finalized, click the Create Activity button. You will be shown an overlay that asks you to create sets for this activity.

   

6. If you wish to create sets, follow this documentation. Else, click "No thanks".

   

7. Finally, you will be redirected to the activity you just recreated.

   

b. Reuse an entire activity set

1. On the class where you want to give the same activity, under the Activities tab, click the + Create Activity > Reuse old activity. This will open a sidebar modal.

   

2. Select the entire activity set you wish to reuse. By doing so, you will be reusing the entire activity along with the sets it includes.

   

3. Click the Select button to proceed. For this scenario, a popup modal window will prompt you to enter a new name for the entire set.

   

4. Once you're happy with the name you've set, click the Create activity button on the modal.

   

5. Once done, this will create the entire activity set for you in the new name you've given it, which you can now view on your Activities tab.
