Introduction
Once you are done creating an activity for your class, there are things that needs to be prepared first before giving the activity to your students. It is essential to prepare the questionnaires and answer sheets of the activity for the students to answer.
In this article, let's explore what to do before giving the activity to the students with GradeChum.
Steps
To know what to do before the activity, read the steps below:
Note: You must have created an activity already in the GradeChum app before proceeding with these steps. Otherwise, create an activity first.
Invite your students into your GradeChum class by sending to them the class code found when viewing your class in the app. This ensures that your students’ papers will be accepted by our system in the later steps.
We recommend making sure that all of the students in your class have joined your GradeChum class before proceeding to the next step to avoid issues later on.

Once you have finished creating the activity for your students, before heading over to your class to administer the test, you'll need to download and print your questionnaires and answer sheets. Click on Download answer sheet & questionnaire.

You can then see a preview of both the answer sheet and the questionnaire by clicking on it's tab. You may also opt not to download the questionnaire if you prefer to use your own prepared questionnaire.

Then, to download the answer sheet, there are two ways to do so: a. Activity-specific template (recommended) - answer sheets that can only be used for that specific activity and cannot be reused in another activity you created. b. Generic template - answer sheets that you can used across all activities even those created by other teachers. However, please be reminded that Generic template answer sheets requires students to put the Activity Code on the answer sheet that can be found in the questionnaire or on the activity you created.

If you are going to print your questionnaire or answer sheets, please adhere to the following guidelines for printing the papers to ensure accurate alignment and readability on our end:
Always use Long Bond Paper (8.5 in x 13 in).
Do not modify Print Settings such as scaling, margins, or orientation. This ensures proper alignment and readability of answer sheets when scanning.
And these are the things you need to prepare before the activity! Next, let's explore what to do during the activity.
