🗃️Unenrolled

Introduction

When a scanned answer sheet contains a name not associated with any enrolled student in the class roster, it can disrupt automated processing in GradeChum and require manual verification by the teacher to resolve discrepancies and ensure grading accuracy.

In GradeChum, scanned papers from unenrolled students are marked as 'Maybe'. This article outlines how to review and manage these entries effectively.

Steps

To manage unenrolled students, there are two ways to do so:

a. Incorrect paper association to enrolled student

  1. Click on the activity card to view results of the students.

  2. Look for students under 'Successfully Processed' with a "Maybe" and click to open it.

  3. Click on the Information tab to see the scanned image of the student's answer sheet.

  4. Click on the scanned image of the answer sheet to see the name of the student.

  5. To edit the student's name, click the Resolve text button.

  6. Then, change the student's name according to the name seen in the scanned image and associate it to the student enrolled in class.

  7. Finally, click the ✅ button to save the changes.

b. Student didn't join class

  1. Click on the activity card to view results of the students.

  2. Look for students under 'Successfully Processed' with a "Maybe" and click to open it.

  3. If the student is not yet enrolled to your class, share to them the class code and encourage them to join your class.

  4. Accept the student in the Class Record tab.

  5. Once students already joined the class, their scanned papers will automatically be associated to the student's account enrolled in the class.

And now you know how to manage unenrolled students in your class! Next, let's explore what to do when there are scanned papers that are in need of reviewing.
