GradeChum is an AI-powered grading assistant that automatically grades your students' answers. It grades handwritten tests on paper, and it can also host and grade online activities that students answer in the app. It is the first AI-powered grading tool in the Philippines, designed to work alongside teachers, not to replace them.

For us to automatically grade students' handwritten answers, we follow this process:

1. The teacher inputs the questions in-app, then prints the specialized GradeChum answer sheets
2. The teacher gives the test to the students and let the students answer using the specialized answer sheet.
3. Once done, teacher must collect all answer sheets and scan them, either on a GradeChum-provided scanner if your school has one, or with the GradeChum Scanner app on your phone (see scanning video). (see scanning video).
4. GradeChum then processes the answer sheets, and checks the answers for each student.
5. Once complete, the teacher can now view the results and scores of the students.

The system can assess the following types of assessments:

No, you can simply upload that questionnaire, and GradeChum will automatically process everything for you. Upload it as a .pdf, .docx, .pptx or .txt file no larger than 10MB.

Yes! After AI autogenerates the rubrics for you, it can be further customized by adding, deleting, or modifying the rubrics, its descriptions, and scores as needed. You can rewrite them completely if you prefer, replacing every generated rubric with your own using "Add new rubric".

Yes! You can use any type of paper, whether bond paper or newsprint, as long as you print the answer sheet template generated by the system. See sample answer sheet template.

As long as the answer is legible to a human reviewer, it will be accepted.

Based on our tests, GradeChum is about 95% accurate. Teachers can always review and override the system's scoring if needed. Additionally, when you release results you can choose to accept regrade requests, and students can then flag any incorrectly marked answer directly within the app until the deadline you set.

Yes! In fact GradeChum asks you to: you must review a share of the graded papers before the Release results button unlocks, and you can still adjust any score after the results are released.

Yes. Once you release an activity's results, students can view their graded assessment in GradeChum. If you also release the questions, the answers and the answer key, every item carries AI explanations as well: a general explanation, a tip, a sample perfect answer and the common mistakes.

Scanners are provided at no additional cost for partnered schools. But you can also opt to use the GradeChum Mobile Scanner App, which works on both Android and iOS devices.

Yes, GradeChum Mobile Scanner App is available to download for free on Google Play in Android and App Store in iOS. Just make sure you're connected to the internet.

Yes, GradeChum may integrate with the following systems:

• Blackboard
• Canvas
• Moodle

If your institution does not use any of these LMS platforms, you can still manually export students' grades to an Excel file in our application.
